The Cobblers exited the FA Cup with a loss at Grimsby Town at the start of December. A 1-1 draw at Bury followed before Wycombe Wanderers won 4-1 at Sixfields on the Saturday before Christmas, Aidy Boothroyd leaving soon after the final whistle.Andy King took charge for the Boxing Day loss at Burton Albion, before a 0-0 draw at Portsmouth.
