Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town's youth team took on Crawley Town at Moulton College on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers were beaten 3-2 with Callum Powell (penalty) and Kieran Fitzgerald on target for Craig Hinton's side.
"We started the game really well but couldn't quite maintain that level of performance," said the Cobblers under 18s coach.
"It's a disappointing result and we now need to try and bounce back in our next game."
