Cobblers boss Chris Wilder praised his team for their display in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe.
"I'm delighted with the result and my team has given me everything yet again," he said.
"We were more than in the game in the first half but Scunthorpe started the second half well and deservedly took the lead.
"We came back storming after that though and we always felt that we could cause Scunthorpe problems.
"Losing Ricky was a blow but we showed fantastic spirit. Defensively we were solid and even when we were down to ten men I still thought we looked a threat."
