Cobblers boss previews AFC Wimbledon's visit

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is calling on the fans to get right behind the team when AFC Wimbledon come to Sixfields on Tuesday night.

“The supporters have been great and they have got a massive part to play,” he said.

“We need to be on the front foot, play at a high tempo and if we do that then I’m sure the supporters will get right behind us.

“We all want the same outcome and when the crowd are one hundred per cent with you it gives you the enthusiasm and the energy to go that extra yard.

“The atmosphere here in the game against Southend was terrific and if we could replicate that for the last five home games then that would be great.

“The players are giving it a right go and we’ve put ourselves in a position now where we can get ourselves out of the bottom two.

“We want to go and win every game and we feel that we are capable of winning both games this week if we play well and show the qualities that we did at Morecambe and in the six games that we went unbeaten.”
