The views of the Cobblers boss
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder gave an honest assessment of Tuesday night’s 3-0 home defeat to league leaders Rochdale.
“I’ve got no complaints,” he said.
“Rochdale were excellent, their work ethic was superb and they thoroughly deserved the three points.
“The first goal was always going to be really important, it gave Rochdale a real impetus and we’ve conceded three poor goals tonight.
“Thankfully it’s only three points lost and we’ve got to show a reaction now on Saturday.
“It’s up to us to get it going again, you always look for a reaction and the players all know what is required.
“Zander Diamond took a slight knock to his abdomen in the first half and I didn’t want to take any risks with him. He’s a very important player for us and hopefully he should be okay for Saturday.
“It’s been a bad night for us but we have to take it on the chin and move on quickly.”
