All the team news ahead of AFC Wimbledon visit

Leon McSweeney, Chris Hackett and Brennan Dickenson are all in contention to start against AFC Wimbledon with full-back Evan Horwood, signed on loan from Tranmere Rovers, also added to the squad.

“Leon, Chris and Brennan all come into contention and they are all desperate to play,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“Evan comes into the squad, he’s played the majority of his football in League One, he’s an attacking full-back and I’m sure he will be a valuable addition.

“Joe Widdowson is not quite right at the moment and with the loan window closing this week we felt we needed cover in that position.

“I’d love to bring in a striker before Thursday, it’s a key area where games are decided and I’d love us to have another option at the top of the pitch.”
