David Cardoza keen to see more for supporters visiting Sixfields

Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza is determined to improve the matchday experience for supporters at Sixfields as part of the redevelopment, and he says that is one of the reasons why the club are recruiting a new Marketing Manager.

“There is a whole new matchday experience being created," he said in a Cobblers Player interview

“We want to improve people’s matchday experience, we want people who come to watch us to have a good time and we want them to come back

“We've done the best that we think we could have done with the facilities we've had available but with the new stand coming along we are going to be able to offer families and supporters a lot more.

“The East Stand is going to have a massive concourse and a big part of that is going to be put aside for families with an outside area as well where kids can play.

“We've got big plans for the future and we are going to get bigger as a club over the next few years.

“Of course we can improve and we are always keen to hear from supporters who have any ideas about what we can do.

“There is a lot of work going on in the West Stand internally, the whole stand has been virtually stripped out and new rooms created. A lot of that is more for the operational side of the business to make sure that things work better than they did in the past.

“The East Stand is coming down, it feels like its taking a while but all the steel will be down within the next few days and then the foundations can be laid and the building can go up.

“It’s exciting times and I can’t wait to see it when it’s all finished and done.

“We are putting new floodlights up at the beginning of July and the process of replacing every seat in the stadium will start around the same time as well."
