SQUAD TRAVEL TO SCOTLAND IN GOOD HEART

15 July 2014

Northampton Town players head north of the border for 5 days

Chris Wilder says his Northampton Town squad will travel to Scotland for their pre-season training camp in good heart.

The Cobblers will travel north on Tuesday, and will play one game north of the border, at Alloa on Thursday night, before returning home on Sunday.

"We took a lot of good things out of the game at Sileby and we didn't pick up any injuries which was good," said Wilder.

"Everyone was absolutely delighted for Alex Nicholls on Saturday and hopefully that will have done him the world of good.

"Kelvin Langmead was only down to play about 60 minutes at Sileby but he wanted to stay on and it was good for him to get the full 90 minutes.

"Zander Diamond and Ricky Ravenhill will both be okay for Alloa on Thursday. Zander played 90 minutes against Derby's first team last Thursday and Ricky took a knock to the ribs in that game so there was no point risking him at Sileby."

The squad will be based in Edinburgh for 5 days and will use the facilities at Hibernian's training centre. All first team squad players, with the exception of Lewis Hornby who is continuing his rehab work, will make the trip.
