CARL MUGGLETON APPOINTED NEW NORTHAMPTON TOWN GOALKEEPING COACH

8 July 2014

New member appointed to coaching team

Northampton Town have appointed the former Leicester City and Stoke City goalkeeper Carl Muggleton to the club's coaching staff.

Muggleton has been named the club's new goalkeeping coach, and will be working with the club's keepers having held a similar role at Gillingham until the end of last season and was previously with Notts County.

"I am happy to welcome Carl to the club," said boss Chris Wilder.

"Billy Turley helped us out towards the end of last season and did a really good job, but other commitments meant he was not available.

"We were looking to bring someone in and we have done really well to get someone of Carl's experience and calibre.

"He has a lot of experience as a player and a coach and I am sure he will be of great benefit to Matt Duke and Dean Snedker.

"He has already spent a few days with us and has settled in really well."
