Chris Wilder previews Cheltenham Town v Northampton Town
New Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is looking forward to his first match in charge - this Saturday’s trip to Cheltenham.
“We will go there and attack the game,” he said.
“Hopefully we will have a good away following and we will put in a performance and get a result that will please people.
“It’s up to the players to get on the front foot and then I’m sure the support will follow.
“Cheltenham are tough opposition especially at home but as always with my sides we will be positive and if we can’t win it’s still important we come away with something.
“We’ve got to be strong, Cheltenham will put us under pressure but you know you will get a period where you are in the ascendancy.
“We had a good session with the players on Tuesday and I was pleasantly surprised by the standard and the quality.
“The standards so far have been very high, we intend to keep them high and it’s important the players do their part as well.”
