Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill signs for Northampton Town
Northampton Town signed former Bradford City midfielder Ricky Ravenhill on an 18 month contract.
The tough tackling 33 year old had enjoyed a successful loan spell at Sixfields towards the end of 2013.
The competitive central midfield man, who has won promotion 4 times in his career, joined the Bantams on a permanent basis in January 2012 after a period on loan at the Coral Windows Stadium from Notts County.
Ravenhill joined County in the summer of 2009, ending the 2009/10 season as a League 2 champion with the Nottinghamshire-based side. Before his time with County, Ravenhill spent several seasons with home-town club Doncaster Rovers earlier in his career, where he won the old Third Division title back in the 2003/04 season. He also won the Conference Play-Off Final with Rovers the previous season.
Ravenhill has enjoyed spells with Darlington, Chester City and Grimsby Town as well during his career so far.
He has made more than 400 senior appearances, scoring 23 times.
