Cardoza gives King go ahead for signings
David Cardoza has given Andy King permission to make short-term and long-term signings while he tries to steer the Cobblers away from the relegation zone, and has indicated that their budget will not go down.
"We've the fifth highest [budget] in the league, and we were third last year," he said. "Management will always have the say [on signings], but we might want to talk in a lot more detail about who comes in and why."

Jacobs says move will rekindle love for football
Michael Jacobs says his move to Wolverhampton Wanderers has rekindled his love of football – but the winger insists he will still remember his time at Derby County fondly. Jacobs cut his ties with the Rams this week by signing a two-and-a-half year deal with Wolves following a successful loan spell at Molineux. The 22-year-old has joined the League One side for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £300,000.
