Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s youth team travelled to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance.
The game ended 1-1 with the Cobblers having played all but 90 seconds of the match with only ten men following Richard Parker’s early sending off for being the last man.
“It was a very pleasing performance with ten men and having taken the lead we were a bit disappointed not to win the game,” said coach Craig Hinton.
“Having a player sent off after 90 seconds was obviously a blow but I still felt we created more chances than Dagenham and we just couldn’t get that second goal.”
