First of a series of tournaments is staged in Wellingborough
Following the October launch of Northampton Town's football coaching activities in Daventry, Northampton and Wellingborough focused on improving physical and mental health, the Cobblers staged the first in a series of football tournaments at the Redwell Leisure Centre in Wellingborough on Monday.
The first mini-tournament involved seven teams, three from Wellingborough, two from Northampton and two from Peterborough competing for the first ‘Heads Up Christmas Cup’ to unite football and well-being in Northamptonshire.
Activities are organised in association with Northamptonshire Football Association, The Bridge Programme and the Posh Foundation
Regular coaching sessions are held as follows:
Each Monday from 2.00pm - 3.30pm at Redwell Leisure Centre, Barnwell Road, Wellingborough NN8 5LP at a cost of £2 per session.
Northampton Town's Football in the Community scheme will be at the Redwell Centre on Mondays from 2pm to recognise a growing partnership uniting football and wellbeing in support of healthier communities.
