CHRIS WILDER LIVID AFTER HOME LOSS

13 December 2014

Chris Wilder on Northampton Town v Plymouth Argyle

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s game against Plymouth.

“It was a really disappointing day,” he said.

“I’ve never been more furious in over 500 games as a manager than I was in the first ten minutes today.

“We lacked mental courage, physically we were second best and the last ten minutes have just papered over the cracks.

“There is a lot of hard work that needs to go on here and it’s possibly going to take a bit longer than I thought to put my stamp on the team.

“There is a lot of work to be done, I thought the supporters were more than right to voice their disappointment and disapproval at half-time and as a manager and as players you need to take that.

“The players will be in at 8 o’clock on Sunday morning, maybe I need to be a bit stronger with them and that starts from tomorrow morning.

“We will get things right but there are players here that need to be moved on and I’ve told them that.”
