The views of the Cobblers Cup
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was delighted as he reflected on Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup first round win at Wolves.
“It’s been a really good night for us and I’m delighted for the supporters,” he said.
“The players have given everything for the club tonight and we’ve done fantastically well to get through.
“To go 2-0 up was fantastic, Wolves pegged us back but we went again. We kept going, we dug in when we had to and in the second half especially I thought we were very positive going forward.
“We were a lot more positive in possession in the second half and we looked a real threat. We had a lot more belief about our play in the second half and in the last ten minutes we made some really good decisions with the ball.
“Tonight has been a good night for us but I don’t want us to be an up and down team and now we need to go again at York on Saturday.”
