Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was content as he looked back on Saturday’s 1-1 draw at York.
“I’m more happy with the result than the performance,” he said.
“I was delighted with our play in the first half and I thought we were the better team in the first half.
“York were the better team in the second half but we showed real resilience to dig in and we kept going right until the end.
“We weren’t at our best in the second half but I always felt we had a goal in us. It was a fantastic finish by Marc Richards and that’s why we brought him to the club.
“We can play better but the players attitude was spot on and we’re delighted to come away from what is a very difficult place to come to with a point.”
