The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Northampton Town v Shrewsbury Town
BUY YOUR MATCH TICKETS HERECobblers boss Chris Wilder is backing his side to bounce back from the midweek loss at Portsmouth for Saturday’s visit of Shrewsbury Town.
“We need to recover quickly from Tuesday night and I fully expect us to come flying out of the blocks on Saturday afternoon,” he said.
“After three away games on the bounce it’s good to be back at home again and hopefully we can start where we left off against Mansfield.
“Shrewsbury have had a decent start but we are at home and I fully expect us to be positive.
“The lads were disappointed after the game on Tuesday night but we have to move on quickly. As the manager I need to show character by leading from the front and I expect the players to do the same.
“We need to find a consistency in our results and in how we play and although we would obviously like to have a couple more points on the board I think we can be pretty pleased with how we’ve started the season.”
