Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on the opening day victory over Mansfield.
“That was a tough game for us today, Mansfield are a decent side and they will take points off lots of teams this season,” he said.
“It was a tight first half but we managed to get our noses in front. In the second half we opened up a bit more and with the chances we had we probably should have put the game beyond them.
“We are a little bit disappointed we didn't kill the game off but we've managed to get our season up and running with three points.
“Our finishing in and around the box needs to improve but we had some good build up play today and Marc and Ivan will score goals, there is no doubt about that.”
