WILDER THANKS TRAVELLING FANS

18 April 2014

The views of the Cobblers boss

Boss Chris Wilder again thanked the magnificent Cobblers travelling support as he reflected on Friday's 1-1 draw a Wycombe.

"We got off to a decent start but their goal knocked us back a bit," he said.

"We got caught up in a bit of a basketball type game at times but in the second half we played some better football we just needed to make better decisions in the final third.

"Had we have done that I think we would have won the game but Wycombe put up a real fight which we expected and you have to give some credit to the opposition.

"We came here to win the game but if Matt Duke hadn't made the save he did at the end we could have lost so overall we see it as another point gained.

"It was a magnificent effort by the fans yet again, they backed us in their numbers and they really drove the players on."
