WILDER RELISHING POMPEY CLASH

20 April 2014

The views of the Cobblers boss ahead of Northampton Town v Portsmouth

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is relishing the big match atmosphere at Sixfields that will be generated by Easter Monday's visit from Portsmouth

"Nothing was ever going to be settled on Friday and we now have to go again against Portsmouth," he said.

"We've been in over the weekend and we are hopeful that Zander Diamond will be okay for Monday. He's a big player for us and I thought he was excellent at Wycombe.

"I'm sure it will be a cracking game and it's a game we believe we can win. Portsmouth will bring a big support and with our fans as well I'm sure it will be a terrific atmosphere.

"There was a lot of pressure on the players on Friday but we picked up a point and now we need another good week."
