Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was delighted following Saturday’s 1-0 win against Burton Albion and started his post match press conference by thanking the club’s fans.
“The fans were absolutely magnificent today and on behalf of the players and myself I’d like to start by thanking them for their support,” he said.
“We started on the front foot and the fans really got behind us.
“We’ve beaten a good side today and we had to work hard for the result. We had to dig in at the end but we defended well, put in some good blocks and the players put a real shift in.
“We were missing some big players today but the players who came in worked really hard and they did the club proud.
“We are on a bit of a roll now and we need to go again at Wycombe. Hopefully we will take a good following and it would be nice to come out on Friday to a sea of claret.”
