The Cobblers boss previews Northampton Town v Oxford United
BUY YOUR MATCH TICKETS HERECobblers boss Chris Wilder says his team are determined to finish the job of securing Football League survival in Saturday’s game against Oxford United.
“The job isn’t finished, there is still another game to go and there is a lot of work still to be done,” he said.
“We’ve got ourselves above the line and we are in a position now where it is in our own hands. That is very much down to a collective effort from everybody and we just need one more big push.
“There is an unbelievable unity about the club at the moment, right through from the staff to most importantly the supporters.
“I’m sure it will be a sell out on Saturday and there will be a cracking atmosphere.
“We’ve got to make sure that we are bang up for it on Saturday and I’m one hundred per cent sure that we will be.
“We won’t get carried away this week and we need another good week of intense focused training.
“We’re not taking anything for granted, mad things happen in football and on the last day of the season and we know that we’ve still got a job to do.
“If we do our job on Saturday then the rest will take care of itself. We want to finish the season off on a high and the players are determined to do that.”
