Cobblers boss positive ahead of final two games
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says there is good feeling in the squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Dagenham.
“We are really looking forward to the weekend and we believe come 5pm on Saturday we will be out of the bottom two and it will be in our hands,” he said.
“We felt we deserved more from the game on Monday but the performance showed that we are in good nick and if we play anywhere near as well as that in our next two games we will get our rewards.
“Dagenham will be going all out to try and finish as high up the league as they can and for me Wayne Burnett is the stand out manager in the division this season.
“They pushed Chesterfield really hard on Monday but we’re just focusing on where we’re at and I think we are in a good place.
“I’ve been saying all along that there were going to be lots of twists and turns and we shouldn’t be surprised that it is going to go down to the last day but I truly believe that we are more than capable of winning our last two games.”
