SATURDAY IS CLARET DAY, CLARET SALE IN CLUB SHOP

28 April 2014

Call for supporters to come wearing claret on Saturday

Northampton Town have declared Saturday's visit from Oxford United as Claret Day, where all supporters are asked to come to the game wearing the club colours to show their support.

"While last Saturday was a good day for us, we haven't achieved anything yet," said boss Chris Wilder.

"We need a result on Saturday and while we know Sixfields will be packed, seeing a sea of claret on 3 sides of the stadium will be a huge boost for the players.

"The fans have been fantastic and have helped us get to this position. Now we are calling on them to help get us over the line with a huge visual display of their support for the club."

For Claret Day, supporters are urged to come wearing anything claret - shirts, scarves, jumpers, hats or coats as a big visual show of support for and unity with the players.

To help, the club have announced a 20% reduction on claret clothing in the club shop. This sale is for one week only, and doesn't include accessories. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any discount, including season ticket holders discount. Supporters can pop in (10am-5pm) or visit www.cobblers-shop.co.uk

The Progress Skoda clap banners will also be in use again. If you picked one up at a previous game please bring it with you, and we will have another 2,000 to give out.

Tickets for Saturday's game are on sale via 01604 683777 or on line via https://northamptontown.ecommzone.com/
