Kelvin in reserves run out

Kelvin Langmead played 70 minutes for Northampton Town’s reserves on Tuesday afternoon in a behind closed doors friendly at Watford.

“I’m delighted for Kelvin and I’m sure he’ll sleep well tonight,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“Psychologically I think it’s a big thing for him to get out on the pitch again and it was a really good work out for him.

The game ended 0-0 and Wilder added: “It was great for the lads who haven’t featured as much recently to get some minutes on the pitch and the young players did really well against some experienced Championship opposition.

“We gave as good as we got, we created some good opportunities and we got a lot out of the game.”
