Football League Youth Alliance Cup action
Northampton Town’s youth team took on Leyton Orient at Moulton College on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup.
Ryan Cooke gave the Cobblers the lead but Orient quickly hit back and the game ended 1-1.
“We controlled the game in the first half,” said Head of the Academy Trevor Gould.
“We took the lead on 40 minutes but Orient equalised just before half-time.
“The second half was very even and in the end it was probably a fair result.”
