Saturday's results
Saturday's Stanair Cup was dominated by three Towcester teams! Cobblers fans Kate Letts (manager of Towcester Primary under 11s) and Natalie Brady also of Towcester Primary brought along two school teams and both won!
Kate said: “The kids really loved it, especially the younger ones (under 8s) as they’d never done it before... whereas the under 11 kids had! (They won the Stanair Cup 2 years ago when they were under 9s!). The fun zone is also really good and they liked the face painting!”
Meanwhile, in the North Stand, Kate’s Dad, Dave - a season ticket holder, was celebrating his birthday – making it a great day for the Letts family of Duston!
Not to be outdone, George Boyle’s Towcester Town u10s won their gladitorial battle against Brian Weir’s Irchester Romans – was this a re-match of possibly the oldest sporting fixture in the county!!?
We’ll now see the three Towcester teams in the quarter-finals, alongwith Jamie Tisor’s Bilton Ajax from Rugby and FFA.
