DEEGAN TO SERVE ONE MATCH BAN

19 September 2013

Midfielder to sit out Mansfield trip

THIS MATCH IS ALL TICKET, YOU CANNOT PAY ON ARRIVAL

Midfielder Gary Deegan will miss Saturday’s trip to Mansfield through suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against Exeter and therefore incurring a one-match ban.

“Gary is suspended but Ian Morris is fit,” confirmed boss Aidy Boothroyd.

“Ian could just slot straight back in there but I’ve got other options as well with Danny Emerton and Matty Harriott.

“We will have a look at Mansfield in detail and see what their strengths and weaknesses are and how we can exploit them.

“I think we are quite flexible in the way that we can play and with Roy O’Donovan, Jacob Blyth and Clive Platt we have got options up front.

“I know Roy isn’t a wide player but he is a hard worker and he is always willing to do a job for the team.”

“That shows you what a great character Roy is and he is a real team player.

“We are hoping to make an addition to the squad before the weekend but there are just one or two things to be sorted out first.”
