Northamptonshire FA's David Joyce Cup action
Northampton Town's youth team travelled to Thrapston Town on Thursday night as they kicked off their defence of the Northamptonshire FA's Dave Joyce Cup.
The Cobblers won the game 8-1 with goals from Dodzi Agbenu (2), Callum Powell, Kieran Fitzgerald, Ben Jackson, Danny Harmon, Matty Forster and Richie Barker.
"It's a good result and we're pleased to be through to the next round," said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
"Thrapston made us work hard but the lads stuck at it and our fitness probably told in the end. We took our chances well and to score 8 goals was very pleasing."
