RAY SUPPORTS CYCLE 4 CYNTHIA

3 October 2013

Former skipper takes part in charity event

On Sunday 22nd September former Cobblers skipper Ray Warburton completed a charity bike ride with the support of 5 friends from his local pub.

The ride started at Althorp House, Northampton, weaved its way around many villages up towards Market Harborough and returned back through Long Buckby.  The event was attended by over 1,100 cyclists and they were blessed by a glorious sunny day and support along the way by the rally organisers.

Ray said, "I was not looking forward to it too much on the Sunday morning as I didn't feel ideally prepared but in the end I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the event and the camaraderie with my fellow bikers.  We finished the day off by a visit to the local pub to re-hydrate!!"

Final sponsorship figures are not yet confirmed but Ray is hoping to raise a minimum of £500.

Ray, who runs and owns the HomeInstead Senior Care office in Northampton  said, "We work with some end of life clients and people in vulnerable situations and I cannot think of a better charity to be involved with and I am really pleased that I took part.

"I am now hoping to make this an annual event and will try and involve more people from Home Instead Northampton next year."

If supporters wish to donate to the cause please do so by cheque (payable to Cycle 4 Cynthia), sent to
