PLATT AND BLYTH OUT FOR 2-3 WEEKS

2 October 2013

The latest from the treatment room

Clive Platt and Jacob Blyth (both thigh) were the latest players to be added to the club’s lengthy injury list last week.

“We are looking at two to three weeks for both Clive and Jacob,” confirmed boss Aidy Boothroyd.

“Matt Heath is going to be about the same and with Lewis Hornby we are going to get a second opinion on exactly where he is at.

“The long termers Kelvin Langmead and Alex Nicholls are both making good progress and they are both coming on well. I think it is going to be some point in November for Kelvin and the start of the New Year for Alex.

“With Jacob we are talking to Leicester about the possibility of maybe breaking his loan spell and then bringing him back when he’s fit and hopefully we can get that sorted.

“The plan now is to have a little look at who is out there but we’ve also got to make sure that we get the best out of the players who we’ve got available.

“There are players out there but they’ve got to want to come and there club has got to want them to come. We have to have the right balance and it has to be the right type of player with the right character.”
