Left back included in squad for Spotland trip
Left-back Joe Widdowson returns to the Cobblers squad for Tuesday night’s trip to Rochdale, a game Aidy Boothroyd's side are 3/1 to win.
“Joe trained on Monday and he will come back in to the squad,” confirmed boss Aidy Boothroyd.
“Everybody else from Saturday is fine and when you play Saturday - Tuesday games it is just a case of making sure that everybody has rested and is well recovered.
“Roy O’Donovan is very unlikely for Tuesday and Clive Platt and Matt Heath are still a week or so away.
“It’s unlikely that we will be getting anybody else in before the game on Tuesday night. I think that is more likely for Saturday so hopefully we can get it done by then.
“Nobody probably knew too much about Jacob Blyth or Luke Norris but this one is a proven goalscorer and I do think that this particular player is worth waiting for.”
