Thanks to all who took part

Once again FFA (Football For All) from Abington turned out in force to support the Cobblers – with their u6, u7s and u11s walking out with the players. Earlier in the day, two FFA teams competed in the County Engravers u10 5 a side tournament on the fantastic pitches at Goals in Northampton, where they ran off with the winner trophies in both the Cup and Plate! These were presented on the Sixfields pitch by Matt Heath!

At half-time FFA then fielded three teams in our Stanair Cup. A busy day for FFA, but another one for them to remember. Our thanks as always are due to their hard-working coaches, Chairman Delaney  who makes it all happens – and of course to those fantastic parents and players.

The runners up in the County Engravers Cup were Danny Ward’s Kingsley, closely followed by Brian Weir’s Irchester Romans (last season’s victors). Well done also to both teams from Billing United and a special mention to George Boyle’s Towcester Town who rescued their day by winning their Stanair Cup tie 2 hours later!

Later this month the U7s will play on 19th at the Dagenham game and the U8s on the 26th at the Cheltenham game. For more details please email
