CHAIRMAN - 'CALM AND DETERMINED'

David Cardoza on the start to the season, the FA Cup, the redevelopment

Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza has been talking about the start to the season, the redevelopment and the forthcoming FA Cup tie at Bishop's Stortford.

He has pledged to support Aidy Boothroyd financially and in other ways and describes his mood as 'calm and determined.'

“This is the time for everybody to pull together, we are not anywhere near where we expected to be and it’s certainly not anywhere near good enough," he said in a Cobblers Player interview.

“Nothing is going to change in respect of the manager, Aidy is here and he’s going to see this out for the long-term and get us back towards the top of the table.

“We are going to do everything we can to help him financially and give him any other support that he needs and I just ask the fans to stick with us and stick with Aidy while we get through this patch and we will because I won’t allow this to go on.

“Clearly some of the performances haven’t been good enough this season so unfortunately what we have to do is bring in some more players again."

A part of this video is available now on our official YouTube channel below, while the entire 5 minute interview is now playing on Cobblers Player.
