Cobblers set to host hundreds of local players
There is a busy weekend in store at Sixfields.
On Friday, it is the Carlsberg Corporate Cup. 16 teams from local businesses will battle it out for the 2013 title. bmt Sales and Marketing will be looking to retain the honour for the third successive season as players get the chance to live the life of a professional footballer for the day.
On Saturday and Sunday, it is the turn of the youngsters as the Cobblers Cup takes place. The tournament is 6 a side for age groups from under 7s to under 12s with each team playing a minimum of four games, including a knockout fixture. There are a maximum of 9 players in a squad with roll on, roll off substitutes.
There will be plenty of other entertainment and a range of activities happening on the two days which will include bouncy castles, inflatable football, face painting, obstacle courses, sumo suits, fun zone, target football and more with plenty of food and refreshments.
