Aidy's Wembley preview - Part One

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd believes the fans can play a huge part in Saturday's npower League Two play-off final against Bradford City at Wembley on Saturday.

“The fans can play a massive part and that’s why I’m keen for as many people as possible to buy a ticket," he said.

“We need to make sure that our fans make more noise than Bradford and we want to win the vocal battle off the pitch.

“We think we can win this and we want as many people there as possible to help us.

“It is going to be a very significant day and especially so for everyone who works at the club and for our supporters.

“The supporters here haven’t had too much to shout about but we don’t want to be talking about the occasion and how we enjoyed the day because we are going there to try and win.

“We want to make it a memorable day for everybody and we want to finish off the season on a high.

“It’s going to be a really difficult game there is no doubt about that but we believe that we can do it.

“Bradford are a very good side, they have got a nice mixture of power and pace and they have got some good footballers.

“I think both teams are very evenly matched and the games this season have been decided by a couple of mistakes.

“Both teams are well organised and both teams have got goals in them.

“We will have a plan for Bradford both offensively and defensively and we know that we have got to be at our best to win any game in League Two."
