Cobblers withdraw contract offer

Northampton Town have withdrawn their contract offer to Nathan Cameron.

The defender, who spent a period on loan at Sixfields at the end of last season, was offered a contract earlier in the summer, but that offer has now been taken away.

Boss Aidy Boothroyd said the matter needed to come to a conclusion one way or the other after weeks of talks.

"There comes a time when you have to move on," he said.

"In this instance we have moved on and that door is now closed."

The Cobblers boss remains in talks with potential new signings ahead of the new season.
