Cobblers boss delighted to link up again
Northampton Town manager Aidy Boothroyd says that new midfielder Ian Morris is a player he has tracked for a while.
“I’ve known Ian for a long time and he was actually in the youth team at Leeds when I was first team coach," said Boothroyd.
“I’ve followed his career since then and what I like about him is that he can play in a number of positions.
“He was excellent for Torquay against us when they got to the play-offs and he’s got three promotions under his belt.
“He’s adaptable, a proven winner and I think there is still more to come from him.
“I think we could have got a few more goals from midfield last year and that is something we have to change this season.
"He has played at a higher level and I think he wants to help us try and move up to the next level."
