Defender becomes latest new signing
Northampton Town have signed experienced defender Kevin Amankwaah on a one year deal with an option for a further year.
The 31 year old London born right back has made almost 350 career appearances, playing for Bristol City, Yeovil, Swansea, Swindon, Rochdale and Exeter, and enjoyed a good season in 2012/13 with the Grecians.
"Kevin has impressed me during pre-season and the homework we have done on Kevin is all positive," said Aidy Boothroyd.
"He is exactly what we need. He has a presence, he is good size but he is a footballing full back.
"He knows all about League 2 and what is required. He is a promotion winner in the past and he is a good professional to be coming in to our dressing room.
"He is different to what we have and his arrival is a boost for us."
