AIDY BULLISH AHEAD OF BURTON'S VISIT

Cobblers boss on Saturday's Sixfields clash

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd previews Saturday’s Sixfields clash against Burton Albion.

“We haven’t been able to train on grass this week which obviously isn't ideal but it’s the same for everybody," he said.

“We’ve done some mixed martial arts in town which was something a little bit different and we’ve done some more technical stuff on the astroturf up at Goals.

“Whenever you do something different it gives people a bit of a spark and I know the players really enjoyed doing the MMA and we are grateful to Danny and Greg for letting us come down.

“I was upset after the game at Chesterfield for a number of different reasons but when you step back and look at the bigger picture you can see that we are doing a lot of things well.

“I think you have to judge people over a number of games and if we do that then we are doing better than okay.

“We can’t wallow around in self pity because we had a bad half an hour against a team who we thought we could take something from.

“I won’t ever brush anything under the carpet and there are always lessons to be learned from every game whatever the result.”
