Pupils from local schools perform at the Rochdale game
On Saturday, local schoolchildren took part in a dance performance on the pitch ahead of the Rochdale game.
The performance involved around 40 pupils from 15 schools who danced pre match to 'I like to move it,' from the Madagascar movie.
The club's very own dance teacher, Zoe Halsey, has been visiting the schools to teach them their routine, and they were supported by parents, siblings and friends who watched the performance.
We have also set up the Cobblers Dance Crew!
The dance crew takes place on Monday evenings between 5pm-6pm and is open to all children aged 7-14 with lessons being held at Sixfields Stadium, the home of the Cobblers.
All new dancers will receive their FIRST WEEK FREE, with the on-going lessons at just £3.50 per week! In addition all new members will also receive their very own free Northampton Town Dance Crew t-shirt to keep, making them part of the club's official dance group. As the official dance group there will also be many opportunities to perform with the rest of the club in front of thousands of fans at our home games as well as other community events!
No experience is necessary and all levels of dance abilities and confidence are welcomed, in fact even if you have never danced the crew want you!!
There is no need to book but please inform us of your child’s initial attendance via email - firstname.lastname@example.org as places in the club are limited.
