The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd was an unhappy man after the 3-1 defeat at Rotherham.

"We didn't deserve anything out of the game today," he said.

"For the first time this season I thought we got outworked and I very rarely say that about this group of players.

"We got turned over and I'm disappointed because we are far better than that.

"We didn't get our normal game going and you have to give Rotherham credit.

"Roy O'Donovan gave us a bit of a spark when he came on, he didn't get any service but he worked his socks off.

"I knew this week was going to be tough but we've proved before that we can bounce back from these setbacks.

"We weren't at our best today, far from it and Rotherham deserved the result.

"We've got to learn the lessons from this game and make sure that we go out against Rochdale to put it right.

"We had brilliant support today and we all want to give them something to smile about and we didn't do that today.

"We're looking forward to being back at home and we need to get some points on the board."
