The Cobblers boss looks ahead to a busy festive period
BUY YOUR MATCH TICKETS HEREWith five games in just two weeks Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd is expecting to utilise his whole squad over the busy Christmas period.
“We’ve got a lot of games coming up in a very short space of time and we’re going to need everybody to play their part,” he said.
“I’ve never been a manager to ostracise players and hopefully having a bit of depth to our squad will help us get through the next few weeks.
“There are a lot of decisions that need to be made in January but what I’m not going to do is make those decisions too early.
“We’ve got to focus on the here and now and that’s Saturday’s game against Wycombe.
“Ricky Ravenhill and Ian Morris did well at Bury and Ricky has been outstanding for us.
“Darren Carter was ill on Saturday so he wasn’t available for selection. It hasn’t quite happened for Darren this season but he’s a good player who has played at the top level.
“We definitely haven’t seen the best of what Darren has got to offer but I know he has got it in him and that’s why West Brom paid £1.5m for him.”
