Roy available for FA Cup tie
Striker Roy O’Donovan (hernia) could return to the side for Saturday’s FA Cup second round tie at Grimsby Town.
“Roy is making really good progress,” confirmed boss Aidy Boothroyd in a Cobblers Player interview to be broadcast on Tuesday.
“Clive Platt got another good 70 minutes in on Saturday and we’ve got to make sure we keep him right.
“Both Luke Norris and Jacob Blyth did very well when they came on and although Izale McLeod can’t play because he’s cup tied I still think we are in a very strong position with the players we have got available.
“Chris Hackett is also available again after serving his suspension so that is another plus.”
