The Cobblers boss looks ahead
Andy King says whatever squad he sends out at Fratton Park on Sunday will be determined and organised and ready to pose problems for hosts Portsmouth.
"We've had a few setbacks with injuries and players being recalled but I've been in football for a long time and I'm not one for making excuses," he said.
"We just have to get on with it, I thought we showed a real spirit at Burton and hopefully that gives us a bit of a platform and something to build on.
"Whoever is in charge going forward, be that me or someone else you need to have that spirit and that's all I can ask of the players.
"I can't control what is going to happen in terms of the next manager, I'm not talking to the board unless they want to talk to me, I'm just looking to the next game."
