DISABILITY DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

12 December 2013

Players wanted for 2014

The purpose of the Football Association Disability Development Centre Programme is to identify players deemed to possess a higher level of ability from within grassroots youth football and place them in a technical programme designed to promote individual football development and promote progression to and involvement in Regional Specific Centres or mainstream football activity.

Northampton Town's Football in the Community scheme runs an FA Disability Centre on a Thursday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Thomas Becket School in Northampton. The centre has been in operation for several years and during that period Harry Baker has gone on to represent England in the Cerebral Palsy team, Matthew Sellers has reached the England development squad at CP level and several players are receiving coaching at Regional development centres with the Deaf and CP squads.

At the Northampton Town Disability Player Development Centre we are looking for more players to attend the coaching on a Thursday night from 6pm to 7.30pm at Thomas Becket School. The coaching will resume on Thursday (January 16th). We are looking for players with the following disabilities:
