CARTER TO SERVE ONE MATCH BAN

28 December 2013

All the news ahead of Sunday's game

Cobblers caretaker boss Andy King will be without midfielder Darren Carter for Sunday's trip to Portsmouth.

Carter is set to serve a one-match ban after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Burton on Boxing Day.

"I felt Darren had his best game for us at Burton," said King.

"To lose him for a game is disappointing but it's just another thing we have got to deal with.

"Ricky Ravenhill going back to Bradford was also a blow but we have to get on with it."

Clive Platt, Mathias Doumbe, Ian Morris, Kelvin Langmead, Alex Nicholls and Lewis Hornby will also miss the trip south.
