Cobblers boss happy with loan striker as he looks aheadBUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd says he has been very impressed with striker Luke Norris and has backed him to return to the starting XI in the very near future.
“I like Luke Norris a lot and I think he is as good a finisher as I’ve seen," said Boothroyd.
“When a young player comes on loan they are still learning the game and being left out of the team is part of that and you need to react in the right way.
“Luke’s attitude has been first class and it’s only a matter of time before he’s back in the team."
Boothroyd also confirms he is planning for the January transfer window, which opens in the next 3 weeks.
“We need to change a few things around in January, we do need to clear the decks a little bit and I think it’s important that we refresh the squad.
“In the short term we need to get some wins and put some points on the board but looking forward we need to make the squad a lot leaner than it is at the moment.”
