Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s youth team kicked off their Football League Youth Alliance campaign on Saturday with a trip to Leyton Orient.
The Cobblers won the game 2-0 with Kieran Fitzgerald and Dodzi Agbenu getting the goals.
“It was a good first performance,” said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
“It’s always nice to win your first game and the lads have set a standard now.
“We’ve still got things that we need to work on but to start with a win and a clean sheet is very pleasing.”
